Smooth-tastic!

Made a truly sensational shake today. Lincoln LOVED it and it had tons of sesame seeds in it which is good cause they are loaded with calcium. We all were going "mmmmmmmm" while we drank them down. So here you have it. The recipe...

Banana Sesame Shake-
2 lg. frozen bananas
1/4 c. sesame seeds (I used the brown ones that still have their hulls.)
1 Tbsp. raw honey
pinch of salt
nutmeg, about 1/4 -1/2 tsp.
about 1 c. water

Blend until really creamy, drink, and smile.

(Hint-If you don't have a high powered blender you could blend the sesame seeds with the water first until they are sesame milk, then add the bananas and the rest of the ingredients. It will be smoother that way.)

Hope ya love it! We did.

Happy Fathers Day to all the Daddies out there.

Nutmeg. That sounds interesting. I’ve tried cinnamon and curry in my green smoothies but I haven’t tried nutmeg yet. When I cleaned out my house off all cooked food I also threw away my collection of spices. Oh well, the nutmeg I had in the cupboard was probably 3 years old anyway so fresh would better. (Smile).

Hi Val-
Yes, we are all about the nutmeg AND the allspice in our house. Felix, being severely Caribbean, has a passionate love affair with all spices, especially the sweet ones. I find they taste especially good with bananas and my forbidden cashews. I'm not sure how they would be with the green smoothies though... Maybe make a small test batch?
Blessings, my friend.
